Love this! Stumbled on your site via google. This is interesting to read/watch right now! I wonder how many jobs we have actually lost so far. I think this particular administration change actually is having a huge impact on our real estate market. Manyyyyyy of my clients have lost their jobs. I’ll be curious how that affects updated charts, etc. … what are your thoughts vis a vis your prediction versus reality?

Well, you are commenting on an article from 2 years ago, but, Northern Virginia is as on fire as ever. I’ve not seen any homes not appraise for value / contract price. Re: closing costs to refi – that comes from the lender. There’s no property transfer on a re-fi, so there’s no state driven costs to that.
