I'm always so happy when I describe an area well enough for someone who lives there to comment and let me know. I so appreciate this! You live in a lovely little town, Vienna is a lot like where I grew up in Connecticut. It checks a lot of boxes for so many people moving to the area, thank you for giving this your thumbs up!

Thanks for highlighting Vienna! I’ve lived here for 19 years. We purchased the home in 2004 from my in-laws who bought it in 1983. They paid $135k for a 3-bedroom ranch, with an unfinished basement on an 1.1 acres. We have done many renovations and updates, and have lived here just fine without tearing down and building a McMansion. We are also members of Cardinal Hill and you are correct, there is a 10+year waiting list. However, some homes that are for sale will convey their CH membership. I’m not sure how often homes come onto the market with a CH membership, but I’m sure it does happen.
Anyway, you did a great job describing what it’s like to live in Vienna! We truly do have a very close-knit, everyone knows everyone vibe.
