A hallway and pass you at work and not even acknowledge your existence. I have no loyalty to this awful, soulless place. Summers suck like you’re living in New Orleans, but at least in Nola you have bomba$$ people, food, and music.

Lived in the DC area for a couple years before I fled. Narcissism is rampant, and people largely come across as cold, condescending, inconsiderate (unsettling how rarely anyone apologizes… for anything), and quick to react with anger and aggression.

There are a number of unpleasant things about living in DC. But the unusually large proportion of terrible people make it unbearable.
